Ninety-eight percent of students participating in the speech and debate tournament on October 14 at Sandy High School placed and two who didn’t made it to the top panel. The tournament was a “sweep” said the speech coach Jen Loeung.  Everyone helped each other out and a lot of good skills were learned.

“It’s always a fun experience competing against other schools and personally it not only helps my speaking skills but I’m also able to connect with people from my school and other schools too,” said junior Miki Moua

“As a team we gained a lot of new members and the tournament helped us grow and connect as a team,” said senior Emma Dobesh.
