Girls Soccer vs. Central Catholic TONIGHT!
OCTOBER 17, 2019
This soccer season has been going alot better than I thought it would! After losing seven seniors, I wasn’t exactly sure what our upcoming season would look like. With 5 wins, 4 losses and 1 tie, I couldn’t be happier.
Our most recent games were against Sandy, Clackamas and Reynolds.
Our game versus Sandy was such a success. It was a big win for our team, considering we lost to Sandy last year. It also really helped our ranking! At first, we were down 2-1 by the end of the first half. But we pushed and kept fighting and came out with the win. The final score was 3-2. This game was the first game where I really felt like our team had worked as a unit and it helped us grow as a whole.
The game after Sandy, was against Clackamas, which had recently come off of their strong season, earning 2nd place in league last year. We were expected to lose, and sadly that is what happened. But we put up a fight and even managed to score a goal. I couldn’t have been more proud of my team.
The latest game we played was against the Reynolds Raiders. This was an important game for us because we had the chance to win, and any chance you have to win in league is a big opportunity. They were above us in rankings so a win would be big. The final result of the game was 1-0, and we came out on top! This was a successful win for us which booster our ranking from 37 to 34!
Tonight, we play at home versus Central Catholic. This could easily be another big win for us and will help us with rankings.
I am so proud of how far my team has come this year. I will admit, I was nervous at the beginning of the season, but I think we have proved ourselves a lot this season. Just because we lost teammates doesn’t mean we can’t be a strong team.
