Girls Volleyball vs. Sandy TONIGHT! (Dig Pink)
OCTOBER 17, 2019
This year, girls volleyball has been very successful. When compared to not winning for many seasons, this year they have flipped the switch.
Their current record is 3 wins and 10 losses overall and 2 wins and 7 losses in league.
“Next week Thursday we are home against Sandy (tonight). This Thursday against Sandy is our Dig Pink game so people should wear Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Night.” Says Head Coach, Jared Johnson.
Johnson added that the whole senior class has stood out to him this year. He says that varsity has strong athletes that can play in multiple positions. He also added, “Tupou Fononga and Angel Aluesi are strong hitters, Ellie Basinski is a multi-position athlete and Bailey Becker and Christina Rodriguez are strong passers.”
“I feel great about the volleyball season so far,” said Johnson. “We have had success this season because of our senior leadership and commitment. I feel the athletes are still growing and working hard and wanting more which is great to see as a coach.”
