Remember School Starts At 8:10 Next Year
As the 2018-2019 school year comes to an end there are some changes that can be expected next fall.
One of these being a new start time. Next year, school will begin promptly at 8:10 am. According to Principal Mairi Scott-Aguirre, the entire district is, “just shifting the schedule back a half-hour.”
According to Scott-Aguirre, this change was brought to the district’s attention through advocacy from the high school. And she said, “These are good changes because research shows that high school should start after 8:30 and that students are able to get more sleep so they are staying awake in their classes.”
