The Eagles season has come to a wrap; they finished 3-21, which landed them in 7th place in the Mount Hood Conference with a record of 2-12.

“(I feel) sad, because I feel l could’ve been better and worked harder,” said senior Collin Estep.

“It’s weird, there’s no reason to work out anymore,” said senior Tommy Anderson.

“It was a good four years, I feel I could’ve done more but it is what it is at the end of the day. I’d like to thank my teammates and coaches,” said senior Jonah Walter.

“I’m happy the team stuck together, they showed resilience. (But sometimes we did not) not understanding the effort that is needed,” said Head Coach John Poetsch.

“(Next season) Nathyn Caro will be a junior and he will have three years experience of being on varsity, Jimmie (Barton) will be on his third year and Travis (Johnson) will have two years experience,” says Poetsch looking ahead to next season.

The Eagles played the Central Catholic Rams on February 20th and lost 94-62.

“(They’re) super big, talented, they’re a top-5 ranked team in state, they’re league champs, it’s going to be tough,” said Head Coach Poetsch before the game.

The Eagles celebrated Senior Night on Feb. 15 against the Sandy Pioneers. The night was ruined by the Pioneers as the Eagles lost 81-67.

“The game was closer than the score indicated, we made team contact but couldn’t get tied with them (Sandy),” said Poetsch.

Nathyn Caro hit 7 3’s in a performance Poetsch said was a top 3 performances in history of school.

Jonah Walter added 9 points in his last home game as an Eagle.

Andrew Caron, Jalen Calvert, Tommy Anderson, Collin Estep and Jonah Walter all played their last home game as Eagles with their families watching from the stands.

On February 12th the Eagles played the Gresham Gophers; the Gophers came out on top winning 81-52.

“We were tied at the end of the 1st quarter, had a shaky 2nd quarter but after halftime we collapsed,” said Eagles Head Coach Poetsch.

On Friday February 8th the Centennial Eagles played the David Douglas Scots, the game ended 46-64.
