Bad Weather Could Cause Cancellations; How Do Students Find Out?

It’s that time of year where bad weather starts rolling in.

Bad weather like rain, wind, and snow may seem not that important, but when it comes to students and schools, it is a concern.

Students at Centennial need to be well informed about the school, and if it’s safe for them to come to school. If there’s a snowstorm and the roads are slick or in the event the power were to go out at CHS, families need to know how to see if there is a cancellation.

According to secretary Debbie Huecker, students can sign up for the website called the Flash Alert. This website tells you if you’re going to have school or not when bad weather comes in.

Channels 2, 6, 8 and 12 will also broadcast school cancellations.

Also, if families have provided their phone numbers upon registration, there’s also a call that goes to your family from the district office.
