The volleyball losing streak is still growing with a total of 79 straight conference losses since 2013. Centennial is now 0-10 in league this year.

Last night Clackamas handed the Eagles a 3-0 loss.

Things were nearly different last Thursday as the Eagles nearly pulled off a victory against Gresham. After dropping the first and second sets, the Eagles fought back to win the third and fourth, bringing on a 15 point fifth set.

The 30-28 fourth set seemed to take all the steam out of the team as they lost 15-5 in the decider.  The fans and spectators were all on the edge of their seats towards the end of the game.

The Eagles and Gophers were going back and forth both winning and losing matches. When it finally came down to the fifth game, the Eagles couldn’t handle the pressure.

Senior Ashley Hawkins said, “If you weren’t there, you definitely missed a game that was worth being there”.

In Monday’s games the Eagles played at Central Catholic and were swept 3-0.
