Girls Soccer Expects Strong Season
Head girls soccer coach Kelsey Birkhofer is trying to mesh six freshmen into her varsity rotation and admits it will take some time to “adjust to each other and learn the system of play we are trying to play.”
But we are improving every day, she says.
Seniors Chloe Smith, Alyssa Ronnfeldt, Bethany Dinh and Shoshona Lewis are all expected to have key roles as the team anticipates a strong league season and a playoff spot.
“I do think we have a good chance to make playoffs this season if we play at the level I know we can,” said Birkhofer.
Eagles goalkeeper Dinh said, “This year’s going to be good, we have the potential to be great.”
The Eagles played last night, the score was 2-1 against Putnam improving their overall record to 3-2; they play again on the 18th at home against Newberg.
