The Centennial baseball team currently has a record of 11-14 and is ranked 34th on OSAA. In Mount Hood Conference play the Eagles are 5-11 having only beaten David Douglas and Reynolds. The team has lost their last four games, three times to Gresham and once to Barlow.

The Eagles last game was a narrow 2-1 loss to Barlow. This loss stings because a win in that game would have essentially secured them a play in game. Teams ranked 28-36 get a play in game and a chance to make it to the playoffs.

With the Eagles being currently ranked 34th they are right on the edge. A win tonight against Barlow will secure them a play in game while a loss will leave their fate up to chance. Luckily for the Eagles the last game is at home so they’ll have the support of the home crowd cheering them on.

The Eagles last game will be tonight at home at 5pm against Barlow.  Coach Eric Fogle he stated, “We’d like to finish off our season by walking out on the baseball field, and in these final moments, leave nothing on the table. I expect our team to battle tooth and nail for this final play-in spot.”

Expect the Eagles to come out firing tonight and do all they can to secure a pivotal win. With the need to win this game expect the Eagles to feed off the home crowds energy and play their hearts out tonight.
