Boys tennis is almost over, with this the second to last week until districts.  The overall team’s record is 6-6, very close as the season closes.

Earlier this week the team played against Clackamas.  The boys lost, however, Mei says the team played well.  “Ryan Butler played first singles yesterday, we got a set off.  Ryan lost but it was 3-6, 6-4, and 4-6. “

The team is going through a growing season.  With only one senior, Kenny Chu, and a fairly small and young team, Mei has been experimenting with a few lineup changes.

“We have been mixing it around to try new things, we put Kenny and Tim together as first doubles.  We have also had a few JV players move up to varsity: Peter and Jayden.

As well as a growing year, the team started off with not even enough players to play on varsity.  Now there are “18 team members, witch is a pretty good number, to too much, but not too small.”

The team looks forward to playing Gresham and David Douglas next week.
