Assistant Principle Zachary Ramberg, Brian Koll and Adriann Hardin. Koll won the Young Citizen Award.

Senior Brian Koll was named one of Gresham’s Outstanding Young Citizens last night in an event at Gresham’s City Hall.

“It felt incredible. It was nice to see that the work I have put in for the community was noticed,” said Koll.

FBLA Advisor Adriann Hardin nominated Koll for the award which was limited to high school students in the City of Gresham.

“Brian is a great kid who deserves all the credit he has received.  I’m very proud of him. He is one of those quiet, unsung hero types,” said Hardin.

Koll was nominated because of his lengthy community service record.  He is also an Eagle Scout.

For winning this award, he was presented with a coffee mug that had a Dutch Bros gift card, a certificate, and also got to meet the mayor.

Altogether, there were five people who won the award and they all came from local Gresham schools.
