Nearly 250 Centennial students participated in the national walkout to support school safety on March 14.

This was part of the 1 million students who participated in the event at the national level, according to Youth Empower Women’s March.

“I think students conducted themselves well within it,” said Principal Mairi Scott-Aguirre.  “I hope they respected each other with their differing opinions. If this was the right way to affect change, we need to respect all the different ways people believe in.”

“I’m proud that students organized and conducted the event successfully themselves,” she said.
