This Thursday’s home meet against Oregon City ended in another loss for the girls scores being 128-35 and a 95-73  win for the boys.

This season may not have been what everyone wanted it was overall a great learning experience for the of the new swimmers that have joined this year.  “This has been a great learning experience for them, and it’s been fun watching the improvement and skill development,” said coach Rod Lundgren

The team struggled in the sense of not being able to fill up all of the lanes during some of the events, which has resulted in so not so great scores.

While the 2018 swim season is starting to come to a close there will still be districts and state competitions at Mt. Hood Community College.  Some promising swimmers include Ryan Standley, Tim Ly, and Amy Hua.

“I suspect that Tim Ly will advance to the State meet in both of his events, the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke,” stated Lundgren.

Another half a dozen swimmers have the potential to make it in the top 16, he said.
