Cross Country Falls Short In Meet Wednesday
The Eagles cross country teams battled it out Wednesday but came up short to Clackamas and Central Catholic.
What was described as a “flat meet” by head coach Greg Letts, got worse as one of the Eagles best runners Esthefany Campos-Gomez went down early in a race due to an injury. To add insult to injury, Adrian Garcia, one of the boys runners, was battling an ankle injury.
In general is was a nice day with good weather however, Coach Letts stated, “I thought we were going to run a little better…The kids were disappointed.”
“Learn and move forward,” coach Letts referred to as the upcoming schedule remains competitive. The runners will continue competing and working hard. The next meet will take place here at Centennial this upcoming Wednesday.
