Boys Tennis Finishes 6-8
The boys tennis team finished with an overall record was 6-8 which was good for a fourth place tie with Oregon City and Barlow.
“I think it (our season) went really well, even though we lost a few varsity players due to injury,” said first-year Head Coach Jimmy Mei. “If we didn’t lose our second singles player then we would have secured our fourth place spot,” he said.
In the district competition, the second doubles team, Luke Peirik and Frankie Moua went to quarter finals, but lost in the consolation bracket.
“All of the freshman showed a lot of improvement this year. The one player who showed the most improvement was Jigme Norbu,” Mei said.
“I would like to say thanks to all of the players for giving me such a great season, and for my assistant coaches because they were a great help. Everyone worked hard and I’m very proud of everyone,” said Mei.
