How Does Your Class Handle Wednesday Morning Pledge of Allegiance?
“Most kids stand up and do it”
Henry Button
Senior
“They just sit there and don’t really care about it.”
Sarah Brodigan
Junior
“Some stand up. Maybe two sit down, but they are respectful.”
Juan Garcia
Junior
“Half our class stands and the other half just sits. People still talk though.”
Trina Varney
Sophomore
“Nobody knows it’s happening until it’s over.”
Tanner Mestas
Sophomore
“Most of the time students will stand up and do the pledge but sometimes they’ll ignore it until the teacher tells us to stand. It’s on and off with participation but most of the time the students are cooperative so I’d say the class handles it pretty well most of the time.”
Makenna Calhoun
Freshman
“From what I’ve seen, a large majority of the freshmen are respectful of the Pledge of Allegiance and at least stand up when we do it.”
Ben Lunceford
Freshman
“My students were initially a little bit excited about it. Now they mostly listen and then class starts.”
