Mei Has Boys Tennis Off to Strong Start
Centennial boys tennis is off to a good start to their season with a 4 to 2 record.
It is Jimmy Mei’s first season as the head coach, and he is feeling confident about the season so far., “It’s been a lot better than I thought and it’’s been really fun working with the boys.”
“Our second and third singles are doing very well, basically because they are pushers,” said Mei. The second singles player is Jordan Peacock. Peacock is a senior this year, his overall record so far is 2-2. The third singles player is Timothy Fu. Fu is a sophomore and his record is 6-1.
“All of us have immensely improved and we are working hard to encourage others,” said fourth singles player Kenny Chu.
“A couple of freshmen are also improving very fast, especially Travis Huynh,” said Mei
The all boys tennis matches are on Tuesdays and Thursdays and start at 3:30. Matches are home on Tuesdays and away on Thursdays.
