The Oregon Promise is a state grant program that offers free tuition for students who qualify and are interested in going to a community college after high school. Applications opened Oct. 10.

To qualify students must:

• Have a completed application.  This process can be started at the following website:
  • https://app.oregonstudentaid.gov/Account/Register.aspx?a=ORP
• Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher or a GED score of 105 or higher on every test.
• Must graduate by July 1, 2016.
• Must be an Oregon resident for at least 12 months.
• You must enroll and attend at least half time at an Oregon community college within 6 months of graduating from high school.
