September and October Athletes of the Month
Athletic Director Brent Child speaks at an assembly about some of Centennial’s athletes.

“I love how the team is close and encourage you to do the best and how the coaches push us to work better as one,” said junior Vanessa Garcia.

“It wasn’t all about winning because we are a family,”
said sophomore Trina Varney.

“It’s been fun, but has taken a lot of hard work to get us where we are at in the season and we’ve enjoyed proving people wrong,” said senior quarterback Mychael Kane.

“It was a good season for us, we developed a lot and preseason was good, we got a lot of wins,” said defensive senior Miguel Carrillo.

“My season went great. I developed a lot, and I PR’d a lot. It was crazy,” said junior Adrian Garcia.

“In spite of having half our team being new, I’m proud of how far we’ve come in such a short time and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us,” said junior Gianna Basile.

“The overall season went pretty well, we started from the nothing and essentially we just need to work on getting more people,” said senior Christian Tucker and first-time water polo player.

“It was a great season to end on my career. We improved a lot as a group. We were all really close,” said senior and four year varsity goal keeper Alyssa Guthrie.

Senior and captain Deleena Saechao was not available for comment.
