The 52nd Annual Centennial Invitational Track Meet, one of the largest meets of its kind in the country, is next Saturday.

Track coach Luke Franzke, who has been coaching track for 14 years, explains how this meet isn’t for everyone when he said, “You have to hit qualifying standards and marks, and also be able to compete. Your goal for the track season should be to participate in the Invitational.”

Adding on to that, Athletic Director Brent Child claimed, “There are a lot of people that would be great for track, but they are just too shy or scared, and think they’re not good enough. That’s the story of a lot of people when it comes to trying out for a sport.”
