Ellett Proud of Dance Team
On March 20 the dance team ended their season at State which was held at the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum. Although they did not place in finals, dancer Brittney Pioquinto took 4th place in the dance drill down. “The kids did a fabulous job at state, we had a great year,” said coach Anne Ellett.
One of their greatest accomplishment this season was having the highest GPA of all the dance teams. “Having a team who truly cares about their academics and being the ones to have the highest GPA is really incredible when you think about it,” commented Ellet.
“We almost had a perfect year, it isn’t always about a trophy. It’s about how the team becomes a team, this was a dream team. This was the most caring, considerate, and amazing group I’ve ever worked with throughout the years” said Ellett. Next season she is looking forward to the positive energy the team gives, and she is especially looking forward to just overall having a fun time.
If students are interested in dance, tryouts will be held on April 18-20. See the athletic office for more information.
