Day Makes Sure Building Runs Smoothly
Other than being a building maintenance person at Centennial, Todd Day enjoys hiking, camping, and relaxing.
Day, is in charge of building maintenance and has been working in the district for over 28 years. The things he enjoys the most in these 28 years are the staff members and the students.
While at work his time is spent fixing everything that needs to be fixed, from broken doors to leaked roofs and the security system.
Day said, “Pretty much I’m a mechanic for this school. If something’s broken it’s my job to fix it or maintain it.”
All of Day’s kids are now out of high school , and he has six grandchildren in total.
Day grew up in this area and was a Gopher at Gresham High School.
The most difficult thing Day has ever faced in his life is losing family to bad decisions that has affected their entire family.
Greg Melvin, the Dean of students said, “ Todd Day knows how to do anything. I harass him all the time to help me with all kinds of different projects and he’s always there for me.”
