Baseball Looks for Strong Season
Third-year Coach Kevin Christie and the varsity team are swinging for the fences with this upcoming season.
Last year’s 5-20 record is a distant memory as current expectations are very high. With more varsity experience under their belt juniors Dawson Day, Brendan Ritschard, and Rhys Atkinson look to have breakout seasons. Christie believes seniors Caleb Holt and Braden Dukart are positioned for good years, too.
Dawson day said “We’re a growing program with great leadership and we are looking to have a great season”
Christie said “we believe in the process and stick to the process and that’s why we will be one of the top teams in the conference”
To be successful this year Christie believes the team has to “make routine plays, have fewer errors and average 5 runs a game.” The Eagles first game is at 5pm, March 16 at home against Milwaukie where they look to come out on top.
