With an overall record of 9-6, and league record of 2-3, the Eagle boys have had a great season so far.

Coach Osa Esene sees lots of potential in the team, and believes that there has been tons of improvement in their game.

“I’ve seen improvement, a team improvement for sure. Against the better teams it doesn’t look like we’re improving, but we are,” Esene said.

Overall, the team’s defense is developing as well as the competitive spirit.

Jeret Schmelling, Rhys Atkinson, Brendan Ritschard and Dawson Day all play a key role in scoring throughout games and help the team inside and out.

“I like my team. I love my guys and I am thankful for everyone that is working for me and playing for me. They are a great group of players. They represent Centennial with a lot of pride. That’s what you can ask for from student athletes at the high school level, that they play the game with a lot of pride and that they love playing with each other,” Esene said.

Watch the team take on the David Douglas Scots who are 7-8, tonight at 6pm at Douglas.
