Ski Team Continues Despite Low Numbers
The Centennial High School Ski team has started out the season strong, even though the team is very small in number. Captain Danielle Bracy had recently placed third in Slalom at Timberline, with the newest addition, senior Cole Spina, gaining a placement in the top 30 for the same event.
The next meet will be this weekend at the same location
However, this will also be the last year that the ski team will compete due to multiple situations, the main one being time. Practices are on Wednesdays and weekends, and since students are not allowed to drive to practices coordination is key.
“It’s a lot of hard work and dedication,” said Bracy. “Plus you have to wake up early.”
