Bracy Enhances Recycling Program
A new recycling program is underway in order to make a more comprehensive group of students aimed at creating less waste within the school. Junior Winter Burris and sophomore Danielle Bracy’s main goals for now are to have more student involvement within the group, to promote recycling at games, and to give presentations to classes to increase general knowledge and awareness about recycling over all. “We’re getting together ideas of how to get people either interested or make them do it for detention reasons,” Burris said.
Other people involved in the program are Ian Parks, organizer for the Clear Stream Recycling program, and Julie Mack, the current coordinator for Healthy Active Schools (HAS). There will be presentations given to classes in the long run, but the current dates are unclear. Updates will be provided on this site as the occur.
