Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his long & successful soccer career. Ronaldo recently joined the AI-Nassr after leaving Manchester United saying “I love Manchester United, and I love the fans. That will never ever change. However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge.’’

The news was announced on Friday, December 30th, 2022 on the AI Nassr Instagram page.
We will have to wait and see how Cristiano plays on his new team after he received tons of support from his fans.

After losing against Morocco 1-0 on December 10th, 2022 during the World Cup, his fans doubt if he will be able to play again in the 2026 World cup.

Ronaldo started his career playing for Sporting CP which led to signing with Manchester United in 2003. He won the FA Cup during his first season. In 2009 he joined Real Madrid before he signed a new contract in 2018 with Juventus.

Cristiano played for Manchester United for six years scoring 145 goals, with a pay of £385,000 which is $464,217.60.a week. That was not bad but AI Nassr will pay him $75 to $200 million a year to make him the highest paid soccer player in history.

Cristiano Ronaldo achieved many trophies over his career achieving 6 Ballons d’or, 4 European golden boots, 7 league titles, 5 from UEFA Champions Leagues & UEFA Nations League.

Cristiano has a total of 1,144 games & has scored 819 goals, 438 with Real Madrid over his career. Although as many of his fans have wished, he hasn’t won a World cup with Portugal, having played in 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022.

The contract with AI Nassr is for 2½ years taking him to the summer of 2025.
Cristiano stated that his work was done in Europe and one of the reasons he joined his new team was because he was seeking new challenges and who knows how much he will accomplish in his new team.

Everything seems perfect for him, he was introduced at the Mrcool Park stadium with fireworks and the cheering crowd of spectators welcoming him to Saudi Arabia. We will have to and see what accomplishments Cristiano will achieve with his new team & what problems he will encounter.
