A current issue around CHS are leaks occurring in different parts of the building. The building was built in 1960 making it 60 years old. The roofs leaking because of years of sun damage and down pours, said Travis Streeter.

There have been five leaks since the start of the school year which is about one every month.

“We have one active in the math wing right outside the cafeteria doors,” said Streeter, a maintenance worker at CHS.

To prevent this from happening, the roof needs to be replaced. This May a bond on the ballot will ask voters to approve $64 million in facilities upgrades across the district. The Centennial High School roof is part of this upgrade and will be replaced if the bond is passed by voters.
