Halloween might have just passed, but are you ready for Thanksgiving or Christmas? I’ve heard many whispers around the hallways about people already decorating for christmas.
With how many whispers there are about how it’s too early. It makes me wonder, is it ever too early for christmas? Do we need to wait until December for Christmas, or can we put up our tree in November?
According to the article Southern Living they say that the earliest you should put up your tree, and decorate it is the day after thanksgiving, so then you can embrace the meaning of thanksgiving.
In another article, Winter Glow, it states that it’s never too early to start to celebrate. Christmas brings joy and kindness, along with being a time to make memories, so it’s never too early.
I asked April Cladwell along with Leah Jimenez, both juniors in highschool, how they feel about Christmas stuff already being out. “It takes the dopamine out of Christmas to celebrate early.”
Senior Ariel Bryan a was asked how early is too early for Christmas to which she responded “Never, but I’ll prolly put my tree up the day after thanksgiving.”
Mr. Moore, a Business and Journalism teacher, said “My happy place is a Christmas movie,”along with “I listen to Christmas music in July.” Showing it’s never too early. I last asked Mrs. Malarkey, who agreed that Christmas brings joy and should be celebrated anytime.
Many different people have many different opinions about when the best time to put the tree up or when to start listening to Christmas music but it honestly does not matter. All that does is when you start to show your Christmas spirit. That you show it at some point, and embrace the true meaning of Christmas.
