Students are getting prepared for the upcoming break. With October’s spooky season over, students don’t have to wait long for another fun time as Thanksgiving break is on the rise.
Students are studying much more so when break hits they can relax, play games, hangout, pig out, and throw bread rolls. Janthe Hoopmann, junior, said “I am excited for Thanksgiving, but I have to prepare for my pre-calc final exam and test for other classes because of the end of the trimester.”
Rylee Guillory, freshman, said “I have a couple of tests to get ready for but I am concerned for next trimester because I don’t know who or how my teachers act”. She also said “ I am excited for the holiday break because of dance practice. Dance practice takes lots of energy so I am excited to relax for a bit.’’
Thanksgiving is a national holiday that was created in 1621 when the Plymouth colonists from England and Native Americans shared an Autumn harvest. Today families give thanks to the pilgrims and Native Americans by celebrating the harvest and blessings of the years and eat traditional foods like Turkeys, bread stuffing with potatoes and cranberries, and pumpkin pies.
The upcoming trimester and holidays make everyone work hard so they can relax and eat on the holiday and be thankful and give thanks to their ancestors knowing they did their best for finals and be prepared for the next trimester.
