In Ms. Dian’s Marketing 1a class, students are working on a Shark Tank project. Since the middle of October, students have had about 6 weeks to create their products, and presentations start Wednesday, Nov 13th until Friday. In the last 2 weeks, people have started to prepare their presentations. Some people in her classes made videos or slideshows to show their products or they created their actual product to show.
Shark Tank is a popular reality TV show that has self made multimillionaires, they call themselves Sharks. Sharks need to decide if they want to fund the company. They select entrepreneurs to come on the show and try to win the investors money by making products no other big company has thought of creating. Their products need to be interesting enough for customers to buy them in stores. The sharks are trying to help promote the sales making investments and taking interest in helping their product get in the market. popular products that have gone in the market from Shark Tank are the Scrub Daddies sponges and the Ring Camera. Some of the companies that are on the show don’t necessarily get an opening to get their products more in the market, so they might say no to fund the product.
Ms. Dian’s marketing class will present and answer questions from the “sharks” about their product they created. The Sharks will ask really hard questions to challenge them, see how you answer and if they wanna make a deal or not. They will negotiate the price they wanna give you and the percentage they wanna make. The students can add the information to your slide or have them ready to answer in your head. Students are questioned about marketing plans, distribution or pricing strategies, or demographics, like who is the target market? Branding, what inspired you to create this project? Promotion, describing your demographic audience, or your target audience. Demand for the growth stage, maturity stage which involves sales, competition, pricing, and length of product relevance. Service management or the revival stage, what will you do to keep your customers not only coming back, but gaining more customers and marketers?
The requirements for the product’s presentation needs to show the pricing, cost, demographics, distribution, promotion/marketing, and your product you invented. Make sure the slides are not full sentences, just bullet points, which gets right to the point. Another way to make the slide to getting to the point easily is to make more room or space to add photos. Making the products buy using Ai, like AiCanva, if they do decide to use Ai then add credits is needed. Making sure to credit information is really important because it can practice academic integrity. If it’s time to present and the group is not done then the group will still have to present because Ms. D did give the students way more than enough time to work on your products.
Make sure to give Ms.Dians marketing class a chance to consider joining. The most important thing in class is to have fun while learning. You’re going to need to have fun to be able to enjoy high school properly.
