Liam Payne was 31 years of age when, on Wednesday, October 16th he died. Fans are taking his death seriously. 2 days before he passed, Liam’s record label and attorney dropped him from the label. More than 25,000 followers have signed a petition for better awareness and protection of mental health and well-being for the artists of the music industry in the wake of Liam’s death saying “we need to act now.” They. On Wednesday evening, fans gathered outside of CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires and sang One Direction hits.
“Not sure. It’s sad that he died but I’m not really going to stop and cry,” said John Guillory.
Liam Payne was born on August 29, 1993 and was a former band member of One Direction, which split indefinitely in 2016. He continued to make music after the split. In the first three years of his solo career Liam had sold over 18 million singles, 2.4 million albums and got 3.9 million streams. He has won 6 awards and 18 nominations.
Liam went to Argentina to resolve his relationship with one of his former band members, Niall Horan. Earlier in Liam’s life, he had a drinking problem and would drink to numb himself. Niall tried to help Liam which Liam refused. Liam said some very horrible things to Niall. Liam went to rehab to get help with this problem, but people still worried about chances of relapse. Niall said,”It doesn’t feel real. I feel so fortunate that I got to see him recently. I sadly didn’t know that after saying goodbye and hugging him that evening, I would be saying goodbye forever.”
He was staying in a hotel. Many different articles have said he fell and many have said he jumped. An investigation was open to determine the truth.
TMZ reported that Liam had a soap box on his table with tinfoil rolled up to ingest the drugs. The cops found drugs and white powder on the same table where they found the box. Now, law enforcements are looking at hotel employees for a little while. Officers think one of the hotel employees gave him the drugs in the dove soap box. So far, authorities found a new party drug called pink cocaine which could be the answer to why he fell or jumped.
“I think drug addiction is hard to deal with in general. And having to deal with all eyes on you makes it harder,” said Ava Fraedich.
A former top British news anchor, Michael Buerk stated after the star’s passing,”It was only last week this program decided that the most important thing that had happened in the world was a drugged-up, faded boy, band singer has fallen off a balcony.” Little did he know after he said that he would get a lot of backlash from Liam’s fans, his fans are furious with Michael Buerk.
Multiple fans have stated how much he and his music meant to them, and how he was different from other artists. Mia Elster, who is 18, cried inconsolably. Elsner said she was trying to avoid social media, where multiple theories of his death have been posted. Multiple people said they will have to skip his songs for a while.
Update:
After the artist’s death, the police found substances of drugs in his hotel room and multiple destroyed objects and furniture. Two emergency calls were made to 911 from hotel staff saying they had a guest who had “too much drugs and alcohol” and was “trashing the entire room.”
According to the prosecutor’s office, medical reports suggest that Payne fell in a state of semi or total unconsciousness. The prosecutor also says it rules out any possibilities of conscious or voluntary acts by Payne. They’ve concluded that the singer had no idea what he was doing or any comprehension of his actions.
Payne’s former bandmates, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Harry Styles all said in a joint statement that they were “completely devastated” and will miss the singer “terribly”, adding,”the memories we shared with him will be treasured forever.”
Payne’s funeral this week. All their fans were hoping to see the band members back together at his funeral. But they all kept a distance from each other. Is there a reason for that? We don’t know. What we do know is, everyone came together to celebrate his life.
