CORRECTION: Final Decision Up To School Board; It’s Possible CSD Teachers will Participate In School-Funding Walkout May 8 Leading To No School

The Talon briefly ran an article this morning stating that this decision was complete; we regret that we did not understand that the School Board had not yet made this official.  The School Board has the ultimate authority to approve this decision. The Talon will follow this closely.

If the Centennial School Board approves a tentative agreement between the CEA and District officials, there will be no school May 8 due to statewide teacher walkout in which Centennial District teachers will participate, said CEA Representative Rob Havrilla Thursday morning.

The purpose of the activity is to put pressure on the State to increase school funding.

Stay tuned for more information as The Talon will keep you updated on whether student or teacher schedules will be affected with an additional day of class or a teacher workday.
