The home swim meet against David Douglas took place last Thursday. Douglas won in both men and women divisions. The final score for men being 33-132 and 64-106 for women.
Varsity swimmer Amy Hua swam the most exciting races of last night only loosing by a 10th of a second.
“That’s as loud as it ever gets down here. Most exciting races if seen in a long time.” Said coach Rod Lundgren.
“I beat my best time on the 200 IM. I think over all our team did pretty well.” Said Hua.

Last weeks swim meet was at home against Central Catholic. In the end Centennial boys received their first win of the season with a score of 88-81. The girls suffered a loss of 52-110
“We have a lot of first year swimmers that have a lot of enthusiasm, and their times are improving which is what I like to see.” Said coach Rod Lundgren
The first year swimmers are getting better and the Varsity swimmers are doing great individually.
“Our varsity group is kind of thin not deep at the varsity level. We’ll have great individual swims.” said Lundgren
Varsity swimmer Tim Ly said about last weeks meet “I thought it went really well, we beat Central. It exceeded my expectations. A lot of people had dropping time and improvements.”

Districts will be at Mt. Hood Community College February 9th after school and Saturday afternoon on the 10th.
