The word ‘interim’ was dropped from Mairi Scott-Aguirre’s title on March 3 when she accepted the offer to become the permanent principal.
The decision required no heavy thought for Scott-Aguirre it was always something she wanted.
“I don’t think there’s any big differences,” she said. Mostly, she was just happy to have a stable job with her kids going into college.
“I’ve been practicing my push-ups just incase [Brent] Child asks me to do those again,” laughed Scott-Aguirre in regards to the push-ups she would do in celebration of a touchdown during the fall football games.
