On Saturday, March 7, the CHS Hi-C’s dance team will be hosting their 50th annual Metropolitan Dance Festival. Unlike past years, there will only be one round starting at 12:00 p.m.
Doors open at 11:15 a.m.
Admission for adults is $10.00 and $8 for seniors and students with a student body card.
The competition will kick off with CHS’s C-Notes a capella choir singing the National Anthem. Teams will then be debuting their state routines.
As it is the 50th Metro, this festival will not be one you want to miss. There will be an exhibition with alumni Hi-C’s as well as an exhibition with the Hi-C’s and their special friends. The competition will end with handing out awards for the winning teams and the senior leaders recognizing their coaches.
I am very excited to be a part of this competition and believe it will be the best one yet. As a senior we will be doing our annual scholarship donation which will be put towards the scholarships that are awarded to dancers at the State Championship. I hope the turnout is great because we’ve been working really hard to make the 50th Metro Dance Festival one to remember.
