Spring symbolizes a new beginning, as well as a new season of tennis.  The team’s record so far is 2-1.

When asked about how he feels about the season, Head Coach, Jimmy Mei said, “So far pretty good, I mean we had a little bit of trouble of students not getting cleared in time, but now I think we have all the players we need.”

There was an issue for the boys team, in getting everyone registered.  Only a few were registered the first week of practice, which may have affected the match play.

“This year is really an improvement year for most of our players, a lot of our freshman have stepped up to varsity this year as sophomores now, so they are just trying to get more experience as varsity,” said Mei.

Mei commented, on District and State prospect, “It’s hard to say right now, I will say our first singles, Kenny Chu, is working hard to make it to State this year and so is our second singles, (Ryan Butler) prospect wise, I can’t tell.”

Last night, the Eagles won against Oregon City.  The team has also played Reynolds and Barlow.

The team is looking forward to a successful season full of improvement.
