This year, Centennial FBLA has created a new community service project: Hygiene for Humanity. This project was designed by students to help more than 400 homeless students in the district.

A hygiene drive was created, boxes were set up around the school, in businesses and at sporting events.  Products were donated by students and community members during the fall and winter months.

In early February, students from all around the school, not just involved in FBLA, helped to organize, count, weigh, and create care packages.

After the packages were made, they were delivered to the counselors at different schools within the district.

“I think it’s great that our school has opportunities like this for students to get involved with the community and pay it forward,” said Ava Fischer, an FBLA member.

“I think it was really successful. The counselors were very grateful to receive the hygiene care packages,” said the FBLA CEO, Katee Early.
